NCH&C is really excited to be able to offer 18 Healthcare Assistant (HCA) apprenticeships, starting in February 2020. We need enthusiastic and well-motivated applicants for positions across Norfolk. This is a wonderful opportunity to study towards a nationally recognised Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship at Level 2 as part of a 14 month fixed term post. Successful candidates will develop knowledge, skills and behaviours within various inpatient and community clinical settings.

The role will involve working in both ward and community teams, providing direct patient care to people with various needs.  We are looking for excellent communication skills and a supportive approach to team working within the various clinical settings.

You will have the ability to manage their own learning supported by the allocated supervisors, Clinical Education Team and Talent for Care team in order to gain new knowledge and skills to benefit them and the service. This is a great opportunity to learn while working in an area with patients with various care needs.

You’ll need excellent interpersonal skills as well as the ability balance academic studies and the work in practice.

A guaranteed position as a healthcare assistant at NCH&C will be offered to those that successfully complete this course and have demonstrated suitable conduct.
