My Apprenticeship Journey

My Apprenticeship Journey

I started my apprenticeship in Commercial and Business Development with the Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust and I am very grateful I was given this opportunity.

An apprenticeship is a fantastic way to take your first step in the world of work, as you start from a “safe position” with lots of training and supportive colleagues to help you. As your confidence grows, then you can start to take on more responsibility in the team. Working with more experienced team members is a very useful learning experience. I can say that my experience as an apprentice was one of the most useful and enjoyable I have ever had.

What I liked most about my apprenticeship was the relationship with the members of my team and other colleagues across the organisation. I found this invaluable both in terms of working experience and knowledge and in terms of personal growth.

I am still working for the same organisation, I have grown so much and I won’t forget that all starts with an apprenticeship.

I have also progressed my apprenticeship level: I have completed my level 2 and 3 and I’m now taking the Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Business Administration (QCF).

So, I would recommend an apprenticeship because it is a good tool that helps you understand yourself, to grow in a safe environment and to understand the dynamics of a work environment.
