My Norfolk
Carolyn Fowler, Executive Director of Nursing and Quality at NCH&C
Since I moved here, much has been in lockdown but I have been really privileged to be able to explore very local areas, the countryside and views. They really kept me going during the hardest days of the pandemic, and still do.
I love the trees, so many trees and green areas! My favourites being at Blicking and Sheringham Park. Seeing the lights of Blickling House in the evening and the Christmas lights were just so lovely.
My first impression of Norfolk was that it’s a really friendly place. All of the staff at NCH&C and the patients that I have met have been so welcoming and kind.
Here’s some of my Norfolk highlights:
The beaches
Long sandy walks on the beach, particularly Overstrand to Cromer, as well as Holkham and Wells beach. You can’t get better anywhere!
Norwich
I love the churches and the river walk, having a cup of coffee outside a café.
Art
The Sainsbury Centre is also one of my favourites, I’m going to see the Grayson Perry exhibition next month. Very exciting.
Entertainment
The circus at The Hippodrome in Great Yarmouth, amazing!
