It's GCSE results Day!!

If further study at school or college isn’t for you, how about applying for an apprenticeship or job in the NHS? We’d love you to think about a career in the NHS if you haven’t already! We’re sure you would be surprised by the huge range of careers in community NHS.

With an apprenticeship you’ll earn while you learn and have excellent job and career prospects after you finish. There are apprenticeship opportunities available in the NHS at every level, so set up an account on the NHS Jobs website to see vacancies in your area.

One thing we can be sure of is that the country and the NHS will always need nurses, healthcare assistants, OTs, physios, doctors and practitioners. Working in the NHS is a fulfilling and varied career – making it a strong choice for anyone considering their options at the moment.

Community health and care is a hugely rewarding and diverse part of the NHS and a great place to start a career in healthcare. Community is the foundation of NHS services: 90% of contacts between health professionals and patients occur in the community or in patient’s homes. It’s also one of the most popular with patients and is vital in supporting patients’ recovery from illness and leading efforts on preventative and wellness services.

NCH&C is holding a special career support session to help answer any questions people may have about applying for roles in the NHS and more specifically, why joining our community trust is a really great way to start a career in the NHS. We’d love to see you there! It’s on Monday 16 August from 3-4pm on MS Teams.
