National Apprenticeship Week 2020

Apprenticeships at NCH&C

The 13th annual National Apprenticeship Week is taking place from 3 to 9 February 2020. This week-long celebration of apprenticeships across England is a time to recognise and applaud apprenticeship success stories.

Throughout the week, NCH&C will be attending events, holding drop in sessions and talking up all the benefits of becoming an apprentice. We’ll also be giving more information about the apprenticeships we have coming up at NCH&C and be offering tips on how to fill in application forms and how to do well at interviews.

Past and present NCH&C apprentices will be telling us all about how they have fired up their careers with an apprenticeship too. We hope this will help inspire the next generation of apprentices and help us continue to ‘grow our own’ workforce of the future.

Here’s some of the events we’ll be running for NAW 2020:

  • Tuesday 4 February: Apprenticeship info session at the Job Centre in Norwich, 2-4pm. Come and find out about how you can become an apprentice and earn whilst you learn. What do you need to have experience of? What qualifications do you need? We’ll also be at The Arch Bishop Sancroft School, 2 – 3.30pm, where our Learning Disabilities Team will be giving a talk.

  • Thursday 6 February: Apprenticeship Drop In Session, Cromer Room, Norwich Community Hospital, 10 – 1pm.  Have you got any questions about apprenticeships? Want an informal chat to our helpful teams about what it’s really like being an NHS community apprentice? What qualifications do you need? How long is an apprenticeship? This session is open to everyone (staff and the public) to come and have their questions answered.

  • Friday 7 February: Interview and Application Workshop, 9-11 Norwich Room, Norwich Community Hospital. Want some advice on how to apply for an apprenticeship. Look no further. The Talent For Care Team will be giving lots of tips and advice on what you should include in your application forms and how to present your very best self at the interview.
