  • Outstanding recognition award (individual)

  • Patient choice award (team or individual)
Nominated by patients, their carers and family, this award recognises a clinical team/staff member that has gone above and beyond the call of duty and has made an outstanding difference to our patients. Nominations can be made here.

While most of these categories are about staff celebrating the achievements of their colleagues, we’re also inviting the public to nominate NCH&C staff who went above and beyond to provide them with excellent care and support. Visit our REACH Awards webpage to access the nomination form for the Patient Choice Award.

Nominations for all awards are open until Sunday 28 August. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Thursday 27 October at the Forum, Norwich.

This year’s REACH Awards event is a drinks and canapes reception at our Community Health & Care Day exhibition at the Forum, Norwich. Running from 26 October to 2 November, this public art exhibition will capture the stories and history of Norfolk’s Community NHS, shining a spotlight on our amazing colleagues and the services they provide.

The awards event on 27 October will be an opportunity for staff to come together, celebrating their achievements, and how they have overcome the hardships of the pandemic. As well as participating in the awards event, staff will have the opportunity to view the exhibition, network with colleagues, and enjoy the refreshments provided by local sponsor, Adnams.

Stephen Collman, CEO at NCH&C, welcomes the return of NCH&C’s REACH Awards:

“We have been unable to hold our REACH Awards for the last three years because of the pandemic, so these awards are long overdue. Like other frontline workers, NCH&C staff went above and beyond the call of duty every day to care for their patients and support their colleagues.

We hope these REACH Awards, and the public art exhibition, will be an opportunity to shine a spotlight on the amazing stories and achievements of our colleagues, and welcome in a more optimistic phase of our organisational recovery from the pandemic. I look forward to reading the nominations for this year’s REACH Awards.”

Usually held every one to two years, NCH&C’s REACH Awards haven’t taken place since 2019 due to the pandemic. In 2019, we received over 250 nominations for the REACH Awards – we expect that to be much higher this year!

Confirmed sponsors for the 2022 REACH Awards include Adnams, Saxon Digital Services, and NCH&C’s Charitable Fund.
