NCH&C gets a new CEO
We have appointed Stephen Collman as our new Chief Executive. Stephen joins our CQC rated Outstanding community NHS Trust from the George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, where he has been Executive Director of Operations since 2018.
As well as operational leadership, Stephen has led strategic programmes of work covering acute, community, mental health and learning disability services. A registered Mental Health Nurse, Stephen previously worked as Chief Operating Officer at Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust where he led community hospitals, community based services, children’s services, mental health and learning disabilities services. In both roles Stephen has led corporate portfolios that included estates, IT and HR.
Geraldine Broderick, Chair of NCH&C said: “Stephen clearly demonstrated that he is fully aligned to the values of our Trust and that he has the exemplary leadership skills required to ensure that NCH&C continues to play a key role in delivering community health and care as part of the developing local Integrated Care System. This is combined with a dedication to ensuring the patient remains at the heart of what we do and a passion for staff support, development and engagement.”
“A sincere thank you to all the staff and stakeholders who took part in the robust recruitment process and in helping us to make this appointment.”
Stephen said: “I am delighted to be taking on the role of Chief Executive of Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust. Throughout the process I have been impressed by the values, vision and ambition of the Trust, and our system partners. By holding to these values we can continue to improve the health and well-being of the people we serve”.
NCH&C’s Deputy Chief Executive, John Webster, will step into the role as Interim CEO at NCH&C until Stephen joins the Trust in early 2022.
